Gravely lawn tractors Tractors & Lineup

Gravely is a storied American manufacturer of commercial lawn and garden equipment, renowned for its pioneering innovations in the power equipment industry. Founded in 1916 by Benjamin Franklin Gravely in Dunbar, West Virginia, the company initially gained fame for its two-wheel walking tractors, which became indispensable tools for small-scale farming and landscaping. These early machines featured a unique design with a single front wheel and a powerful engine, setting a new standard for maneuverability and efficiency. In 1964, Gravely expanded its product line by entering the four-wheel garden tractor market, introducing a rear-engine design that further distinguished its offerings. This strategic move allowed the company to cater to a broader audience, including homeowners and commercial operators seeking reliable and versatile equipment. In 1982, Gravely was acquired by Ariens, a fellow leader in outdoor power equipment, which has since continued to build on the brand's legacy. Although Gravely's traditional tractor designs were phased out around 2000, the brand remains a prominent name in the commercial mowing sector. Today, Gravely is celebrated for its high-performance zero-turn mowers and walk-behind mowers, which embody the brand's commitment to durability, precision, and innovation. The company's headquarters are now located in Brillion, Wisconsin, where it operates as a subsidiary of the Ariens Company, a family-owned business with a rich history of its own. Gravely's product line is focused on serving professional landscapers and groundskeepers, offering a range of commercial-grade equipment designed to tackle the toughest mowing jobs with ease. Despite the evolution of its product offerings, Gravely's dedication to quality and performance remains unwavering, ensuring its place as a trusted name in the industry.
