Founded in 1900, Ford initially gained prominence with the Fordson Model F, which became one of the most successful tractors globally, selling over 650,000 units. However, it was the introduction innovative N-series tractors that truly cemented Ford's reputation in agriculture. Introduced in 1939, the 9N was the first American-made production tractor to feature Harry Ferguson's three-point hitch system, a revolutionary design that transformed tractor versatility and efficiency. This innovation set a new industry standard, significantly improving the tractor's ability to perform a wide range of agricultural tasks. The subsequent models, the 2N and 8N, built upon this legacy. The 2N, released in 1942, was adapted to wartime manufacturing constraints, while the 8N, launched in 1947, offered increased power and an enhanced transmission, becoming one of the most popular farm tractors in North America with over 530,000 units sold worldwide.
