McKee Tractors & Lineup
McKee is a Canadian agricultural machinery brand with roots tracing back to 1949 when brothers Gerald and Russell McKee established their company in Elmira, Ontario. The McKee brothers initially gained recognition for designing and building a forage blower, which was a significant innovation in agricultural equipment at the time. Their breakthrough product, the McKee One Man Harvester, revolutionized forage harvesting by offering substantial labor savings compared to traditional baling methods. This harvester became a cornerstone of their product line and established McKee as a notable name in agricultural machinery. In the early 1980s, the company expanded its offerings by importing and reselling tractors built by Ebro of Spain under the McKee brand. However, the brand's trajectory in the agricultural machinery sector was relatively short-lived, as there is limited information about its activities beyond the 1980s. Despite its niche success in agricultural equipment, the McKee name is more prominently associated with other industries today. The McKee Foods Corporation, a completely separate entity, has become famous for its snack products, particularly the Little Debbie® brand, which has no connection to the original agricultural machinery business.
