Steyr Tractors & Lineup
Steyr Tractor, officially known as Steyr Landmaschinentechnik AG, is an Austrian manufacturer of agricultural machinery with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1864 in St. Valentin, Austria. The company has been a significant player in the tractor industry for over a century and is renowned for its engineering prowess and quality manufacturing. Steyr was originally part of the Steyr-Daimler-Puch conglomerate from 1934 until 1990. In 1996, the company was acquired by Case Corporation, which later merged with New Holland in 1999 to form CNH Global. This merger marked a new chapter for Steyr as it became part of a larger global entity. Subsequently, CNH Global merged with Fiat Industrial in 2012 to form CNH Industrial, further integrating Steyr into a multinational conglomerate. Today, the Steyr factory in St. Valentin remains a key production site, employing around 600 people and producing approximately 10,000 tractors annually. The company's tractors, particularly those in the 75 to 220 KW range, are equipped with engines from Fiat Powertrain Technologies, reflecting its integration into the broader CNH Industrial family.
