Bima
France • 7 Models
Bima was a specialized tractor brand manufactured by Groupe Albaret, a French construction equipment company. The Bima tractor stood out for its innovative design as a single-pass tillage and planting machine, featuring both front and rear PTO shafts and hitches. This unique configuration allowed farmers to perform multiple agricultural operations simultaneously, enhancing efficiency and productivity in the field. The Bima tractors were particularly popular for their four-wheel drive capabilities, which provided superior traction and performance in challenging soil conditions. In 1986, Groupe Albaret was acquired by Caterpillar, a global leader in construction and mining equipment. Following the acquisition, production of Bima tractors was transitioned to BH Industrie, indicating a strategic shift in the brand's manufacturing operations. While Bima tractors were not as widely known as some other agricultural machinery brands, their innovative design and engineering left a lasting impact on the industry, particularly in the niche of multi-functional agricultural equipment.
