Bukh is a Danish engineering company with a rich heritage in engine manufacturing, founded in 1904 by Jens Bukh. The company initially gained prominence for its robust diesel and marine engines, which became highly regarded for their reliability and performance in marine and industrial applications. Bukh's engineering prowess and commitment to quality allowed it to thrive in the early to mid-20th century, establishing a strong reputation across Europe. In a notable expansion of its product offerings, Bukh ventured into the agricultural sector in 1956, producing farm tractors that were well-received for their durability and efficiency. However, the company's tractor production was relatively short-lived, ceasing in 1968. Despite this, Bukh's legacy in the engine market continued to flourish. In 1994, Bukh was acquired by Aabenraa Motorfabrik, a move that ensured the preservation of the Bukh brand and its engineering heritage. Under new ownership, the company refocused on its core strengths in diesel and marine engine technology, while discontinuing its tractor line. Today, Bukh engines are still manufactured and are recognized for their quality and performance in specialized applications.
